What follows is information about some suggested destinations in the region.

Volos

The city of Volos is located at the foot of the peninsula of Pelion in the centre of Greece. It is situated at an approximately equal distance between Athens and the second major city of Greece, Thessaloniki.
It is a lively town, with a busy waterfront which is lined with many pastry shops, cafes-bars, restaurants and tsipouradika. The waterfront is also the place where local people go for a stroll which is a walk before or after the dinner.
The surrounding streets are also of interest as they are bustling with life. The streets are very commercial with many shops.

​The town of Volos is also interesting from a cultural point of view. It is the birthplace of the Argo legend, the starting point of the mythical quest of the Argonauts. On the port of Volos, you can see a replica of the legendary boat.

There is also the Archaeological Museum of Volos, which contains findings from the surrounding areas that date from the Bronze Age to the Hellenistic period. The Municipal Gallery also is of interest. It is housed in the Town Hall and exhibits a collection of paintings and sculptures by Modern Greek artists. 

Pagasitikos Gulf

A cruise of Pagasitic Gulf alongshore the Mount Pelion peninsula is relaxing and inspiring. The bizarre coastline with colourful villages surrounded by evergreen olive groves – this is the essence of Mediterranean Greece.

 

The beaches of Pelion, from the side of the Aegean Sea as well as from the side of the Pagasitikos Gulf, are famous for their crystal clear waters and they are suitable for all tastes: no matter whether you prefer quiet ones or fashionable ones, sandy ones or pebbled ones, by sailing you have the freedom to access whichever part of the Gulf you desire!

Skiathos

The most cosmopolitan island in the Northern Sporades, is truly a paradise on earth, with lush pine forests and crystal-clear azure waters. Despite the rapid growth in tourism here in recent decades, it the island is still picturesque and unspoilt and blessed with more than 60 beautifully clean beaches. The most famous is Koukounariés, which has been declared the third most beautiful beach in the Mediterranean. When you add in its bustling nightlife, it is only natural that the island attracts thousands of young visitors every year!

Skopelos

Eye-catching landscapes; azure waters on golden coasts; traditional Pelion architecture; rugged natural monuments and a pure island atmosphere are all essential elements of the image of this, the greenest island in Greece, more than half of whose territory is covered with virgin pine forest. The island enjoyed international acclaim when Hollywood producers chose it to shoot the famous movie "Mamma Mia", establishing the island as a holiday destination for tourists from all over the world.

Alonissos


Blessed with rugged natural landscapes, and surrounded by small islands scattered around the archipelagos, Alonissos is an island ideal for those you want to unwind and enjoy leisure walks surrounded by pine forests, olive groves and orchards. The island is the most remote of the Northern Sporades island group, and plays host to the National Marine Park of Northern Sporades, a refuge for rare seabirds, dolphins and the Mediterranean monk seal, monachus monachus.

Skyros


The biggest and the southernmost island of Sporades. Several myths of Greek Mythology referring to legendary heroes such as Lykomedes, Theseus, Achilles and Neoptolemus, are connected with the island of Skyros. A plethora of conquerors left behind their traces over the centuries, which is perfectly illustrated on the island’s traditions, customs and architecture. Whether you are an action lover or desperate for carefree moments under the sun, Skyros has a unique experience to offer to each one of you!!!

Northern Evia

The northern part of Evia combines mountainous landscapes and sea, revealing its beauty in a series of beautiful beaches and pine covered slopes. With this stunning scenery, it is a place where one can easily relax and unwind from the stress and noise of city life.
